Authorized Architectural Coatings Applicator:
Andrews Powder Coating, Inc. specializes in developing coatings processes for powder coating and industrial coating technology applications providing our customers with the best finished product value and highest level of customer service in the industry. From start to finish, your project gets our undivided attention.
What makes us unique, separating us from our competitors?
For starters, it’s our coatings processes, combining state-of-the-art equipment, utilizing only the highest source of approved vendors and products, and over three decades of experience and training to deliver unsurpassed quality to our customers.
All coatings comply with American Society of Testing and Materials (ASTM) and American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) standards.
What's in it for you?
Andrews Powder Coating’s promise of quality and schedule will keep your production flowing. No more delays of your parts not getting shipped because your powder coater delivered a bunch of rejected parts to you, only to have them reworked. We train our technicians how to do it right the first time. We will save your company thousands or millions of dollars, depending on the job.
Items of any size — ranging from a few inches to 24 feet for our powder coating operation can be coated to withstand nearly any hostile environment imaginable. The coating solutions we provide are excellent ways to protect against exposure to chemicals, inclement weather, humidity, abrasion and other harmful conditions. Powder coating decreases the wear and tear of the finish, resulting in decreased maintenance cost and greater life cycle of the parts.
In addition to our industrial coatings processes, Andrews Powder Coating, Inc. provides custom powder coating services, which include color matching, powder coating in one or more colors, faded powder coating applications, and custom powder coating in a variety of finishes, including candies, metallics, hammertone, wrinkles, glosses of all levels and clears.
American Architectural Manufactures Association (AAMA) 2605 High Performance Coatings
When the architectural community wants to select the most durable coatings in the industry, what resources are available?
The American Architectural Manufacturers Association (AAMA) has created stringent performance standards. For years, AAMA 2603, 2604 and AAMA 2605 were recognized as the standards for testing and performance of organic coatings for architectural aluminum panels and extrusions.
Recent advances have created a need to update these voluntary specifications. Now AAMA 2605 is the most stringent high-performance exterior specification for “superior performing organic coatings on aluminum extrusions and panels,” with increased performance compared to that required by AAMA 2603 & 2604.
Extensive testing is used to determine if coatings on panels meet performance requirements. Testing includes dry film hardness, adhesion, impact resistance, chemical resistance and abrasion resistance.
To determine exterior durability, coated panels undergo ten years of testing in Florida, where coatings are exposed to harsh UV light, salt spray, sand and humidity before color retention, chalk resistance, gloss retention, erosion resistance and dry film thickness is tested.
Selecting coating systems is a major decision. Using products that meet stringent AAMA guidelines ensures coatings meet certain standards for aesthetic and protective qualities.
