This page is dedicated to the "sickest" machines we could find!  Both factory rides
and "one-of-a-kind " customs.  Makes ya want one doesn't it?

In April, 2005, avid biker Harry “Hairball” Scott attended
the Harley River Run in Laughlin, Nevada.  Scott was
on a mission.  A mission to find that “special” custom
bike that he could call his own.  “I had seen several
bikes that had interested me and had taken quite a
few pictures,” said Scott.  “But about half way through
the four day event I started feeling real bad.”

And on the last day of the show Scott was feeling so
bad that he immediately drove the four and half hours
back home to Los Angeles.  “My wife demanded I go to
the hospital where I discovered that I had a minor
heart attack.”

Scott spent the night at the hospital being observed,
thinking that it was no big deal.  The next morning the
doctor came in and described the path for his
recovery.  “It wasn't more that ten minutes after the
doctor left my room that the "big one" hit,” said Scott.
He had a massive heart attack.

Scott made a full recovery.  “Being that close to dying
changes a man's outlook on life,” said Scott.  “So
during the next few months, I decided to have my
special ride custom built.”

Scott attended the LA Calendar Bike Show at the
Queen Mary.  He took along some of the pictures he
had taken of examples custom bikes he had liked.  “All
I had to do was show the pictures to local builders and
see who would give me the best price,” said Scott.
“The first two builders I went to tried to talk me out of
building a bobber,” laughed Scott.  “The next two tried
to talk me out of running a springer front end?

Everyone had a
different idea of
what I wanted,
except me,” he
laghed.  Scott
eventually found a
new builder
attending his very
first show.  “I
showed him some
of my pictures and
told him my plans,
and said, "HOT!
Let's do it!"

That builder is Bart
Singelman, from
Thousand Oaks,
CA.   About a month later Scott  put money down and
the project was started.  “Every couple of weeks I
would make the hour and a half pilgramage from
home to his shop to try out, fit, or change elements on
my bike…. custom handle bars, exhaust, and seat
pan; relocating deck plates, changing to different hand
controls.  It was fun, but the waiting was killing me,”
said Scott.

Nine months later… it was time for the 2006 Laughlin
River Run, and time for the unveiling of my completed
bike.  Andrews Powder Coating of Van Nuys, CA had
done the powder coating, and requested to have
Scott's bike displayed in their booth.

"Titties In Mirror" is a classic touch!
“When I heard this I was really pumped,” said Scott.
You see Scott hadn’t seen the finished product.
“Traveling to the River Run was exhausting and when I
finally saw my completed bike, it was awesome,” said
Scott, “way past my expectations.”

“It was a great feeling watching the reactions of
visitors checking out my new ride,” said Scott.  “And
since the River Run I have entered several local bike
shows.”  Scott’s Custom Bobber has been shown with
great results.  “My favorite was winning Best Bobber at
the Primer Nationals, held in Ventura, CA on Labor
Day Weekend.
Over 100 different
bikes were there,
and I won.”  Scott
envisioned a bike
that looked like a
cross between an
old troopers bike
and a flat track
racer, but with all
new elements, so
little worry of a
break down.  He
constantly has
people asking him,
"What year is it?"  It
makes Scott feel
so good to know
that his vision of a vintage looking bike has been
accomplished and done so in such a rewarding
fashion.
